Methodology and sources
All figures on this page come from the Arizona Department of Health Services’ Arizona Health Status and Vital Statistics 2023 comparison summary. Rates are reported per 1,000 Arizona residents.
Arizona does not have a central registry for marriage and divorce records. The state’s figures are limited to events reported monthly by the Clerk of the Superior Court in the county where the marriage or divorce occurred. That means the data should be read as counts of reported Arizona events, not as a count of Arizona residents marrying or divorcing.
