Methodology and sources
How to use these figures
The 2024 counts come from the Arizona Department of Health Services’ advance report. Rates are calculated from the reported statewide totals and the department’s 2024 Arizona population denominator, then rounded to one decimal place.
Arizona does not have a central registry for marriage and divorce records. The state’s figures are limited to events reported monthly by the Clerk of the Superior Court in the county where the marriage or dissolution occurred. That means the data should be read as counts of reported Arizona events, not as a count of Arizona residents marrying or divorcing.
